WHAT IT MEANS TO BE POOR

A rich parent, wishing that his son learns what it means to lack the luxury he lived in, sent him to stay with farmers on their farm. The son spent three days and three nights on the farm.
Driving back to the city, the father enquired on his son’s experiences, to which the son replied that his stay was a positive one.
“Have you learnt anything”, asked the father.
“Oh yes”, replied the son -
We have one dog whilst they have four.
We have a swimming pool as large as our garden and full of chemically treated water.  They have a river with crystal clear water, full of various types of fish and fauna .
We use electricity to light up our garden;  they have the moon and the stars to brighten up their fields.
Our garden extends up to the boundary wall; their land up to the horizon
We buy our food; they grow it in their fields, harvest it and cook it.
Our music comes from CDs; their lives are brightened by a continuous symphony of  birds, crickets , animals and other sounds from nature, which, on occasion, is also accompanied by  the voices of neighbours working in the adjoining fields.
That we use microwaves and other modern appliances, but our food lacks the flavour of their food, which is cooked on a slow burning fire.
That to protect ourselves, we live behind walls and burglar alarms whilst they live with doors wide open and protected by their neighbours’ friendship.
That our lives are dependent on mobile phones, computers, television and theirs enriched by life, the sun and the sky, the land and their livestock, and their families
The father was utterly stunned by his son’s reflections. His son then added:
“In a nutshell, thank you for showing me how poor we are.”
Indeed,  with every passing day we tend to become poorer because we distance ourselves further from nature, God’s greatest gift to mankind.
We are more preoccupied with accumulating possessions and riches rather than enjoying this wonderful gift of nature and being thankful for being alive and well.

I sent the above story to some of my friends through email and hereunder follows what bro David replied back relating the story to the scriptures.

Dear Brethren,
Just to comprehend with Brother Joshua’s thought from his attachment; let me share by amplifying one of his points through making several references:
And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD and dwelt in the land of Nod on the East of Eden; And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch; and he build a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son,Enoch.
A new civilization, another kind of civilization, a perversion of the original   was coming in; from a Faith Civilization inGenesis 1 and 2 where Adam had dominion, from a Civilization of Innocence and Perfection when they walked in the sixth sense. Now another civilization is coming in, a Science Civilization.
From Cain generation we find that; ….and Adah bore Jabal: (means ‘leading or flowing like a wandering spirit)
He was the father of such that dwell in tents and of such as have cattle.
Now it didn’t say that they were building a housing development, it didn’t say they were building a home; It said that they were building a city. Cain built a city. We can have picture of cities today; in a systems, defense systems, and sewage systems, social and political systems. They have to have so much power plants, may be for lights and electricity and all these things in a city.
And Jabal, he was the father of such as with cattle;
He went into the pastoral life, the big farms; supply the entire city with beef and cattle and all the prime cuts. And may be he had a monopoly over all the restaurants and all the fast food outlets, all the groceries with the hamburger parties, sausages and everything. He went into the business, ranching, because they had to eat, city life.
And his brother’s name was Jubal and he was the father of all such as handled the harp and organ
Here they were now beginning to invent music. See? Today every city has music; not just every city has music alone, it has all kinds of music; even the people running in the street have walkmans on their heads. In the motor cars they have tape deck right there, in a little tavern they have the jukebox right there, in the homes they have the big stereo set right there, constantly. Because why? They need the music.
You see, back there in Eden when the elephant come with his trumpet and begins to blow and all the canaries and the different birds and the nightingales begins to sing, Adam had all the music he wanted. Adam had a great symphony back in Eden, playing for him. Amen.
When he got up in the morning and all the music started and you know, the canary begins to sing, play a little solo and then, may be a few parakeets will come and have a little quartet; then you hearing the elephant may be way down in the back with a big trumpet, you know, blowing out!
Everything to Adam was an inspiration around him; it was to serve him. He was god over it. He had a kingdom on earth, like God had one in heaven. Amen.  Because he was a god under God. He was god of the earth. God was God over everything else.
In winding up I wish that son in Brother Joshua’s fantastic thought had a privilege of having come to knowledge of the message for the hour brought from God through His humble servant Bro William Marrion Branham He could have explored exceedingly and abundantly richness beyond what he thought to that capacity.  Well, real definition of what it means to be poor could have found its health course. The Prophet taught us to study the book of Genesis as a seed form for every spirits in the world today, we can identify therein.
God bless you brethren and enjoy Brother Joshua’s attachment, supplementing with this brief preamble.

Stay blessed, Joshua

WHEN SOMEBODY WHO HAS LOST HIS SIGHT CAN SING THIS WAY, HAVING FULL SIGHT I FEEL I HAVE NOT SUNG ENOUGH FOR THE LORD

This song was sung during the December 2008 convention at Arusha church when Lanfontaine and Barry Koffi from USA ministered. The brother who is singing is unfortunately not able to see; and I was told he is a pastor in a certain church in Bukoba, a town in the lake zone of Tanzania. God is able to use you the way you are, dont execuse yourself. I myself attended the convention and dubbed this song as THE SONG OF THE CONVENTION. The song says " Be blessed, be blessed, be blessed by the Lord" and then this pastor adds to the song some beautiful sentences like "If I had a house I would have brought the brethren, for us to be together to medidate about the message" "If I had a ship I would have ferried the loved ones to Bukoba (his home town)" If I had a plane I would have taken bro Barry to Bukoba to preach us the message" "If I had money I could have paid for your fare to Canada to see the brethren" "If I had eyes, the flesh eyes,I would have seen how the brethren enjoy this convention" "If I had a car I would have ferried the loved ones to Nairobi to preach the message". " If I had dollars...............

This pastor really was blessed, and at the end of the song, he is heard saying ''I feel more spiritual''

The church building was full

The church building didnt accomodate all, others were seated outside

TESTIMONY OF SISTER HOPE

I came to the UK as a visitor in August 2005, but I decided to stay until my visa expired and when it did I couldn't go back home to have it renewed because I had already overstayed and didn't have enough money to pay for my flight back home. I therefore kept on staying as an ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT, which is the toughest thing I have ever done as you don't know what may happen to you the next minute.

In 2007 I had a baby boy, with a Zimbabwean man I had met here but he too didn't have PAPERS to stay in the UK. Life became very hard because we were living in hiding and we couldn't live in one area for 6 months, fearing that the neighbors might know about it and report us. He tried to apply for assylum (refugee) because of the situation in Zimbabwe then, but it was rejected 3 times.

In 2008 when my father came here, he advised us to apply for permission to stay as a family but we knew that it would be turned down because we didn't have proof that we were a married couple. Nonetheless we just gave it a try, and we got a lawyer who charged us 500 pounds (about MK123,000) for him to represent us at HOME OFFICE. We paid the money but we were not sure of the outcome. We kept on asking him until we just gave up and forgot about the whole thing. Life was real hard. I was crying day and night for all these years, and decided to start questioning God. I even thought that perhaps God was punishing me while here on earth.

Then in 2009 my mother started telling me of what God was doing in Malawi, but I  just took it simple. Every time I called her she kept on telling me about Bro Makuta. One day I just asked her to present my request to church but she told me that if I was serious then I had to call Bro Makuta myself. She gave me his number but I just stored it in my phone for about a month.

One Sunday morning I woke up and started preparing to go to church in Glasgow (Scotland). Then all of a sudden I told my husband that I was not going until I talked to Bro Makuta. I then called him and, to my surprise, he said he knew I was going to call him that morning. Amid shock at hearing this I presented to him my request.

"Why are you so worried?" he asked me in a very simple tone as if this was not a big issue. "Your papers are already out".

Our papers are already out? I didn't understand him. But anyway some things are better believed than understood and this was one of those things. That was the morning of Sunday, 4th October 2009. He told us to call him again in the evening which we did. After praying for us he said "inutu mundiimbila fon mmawa mukudumphadumpha chifukwa zinthu zanu zinatheka kale, kwangotsala kuti akuuzeni, komanso akubwenzeleni ma passport anu". (You will call me again tomorrow morning with joy because your application was already approved. It's just a matter of the officials informing you about it and returning your passports to you).

The next morning, Monday 5 October, while my husband was on his way to work he got a missed call with a private number and that was the first call since we had last talked to Bro Makuta. He didn't know who it was until he got to work and got a private call again. When he answered it he heard. "HELLO THIS IS UK BORDER AGENCY,WE JUST WANT TO TELL YOU THAT WE CONSIDERED YOUR CASE AND YOU WERE GRANTED PERMANENT RESIDENCY  IN BRITAIN FROM 30 SEPTEMBER 2009. YOU ARE THEREFORE FREE TO DO WHATEVER YOU WANT IN THIS COUNTRY AND TRAVEL TO ANY COUNTRY IN THE WORLD, AND YOUR SON IS ENTITLED TO A BRITISH CITIZENSHIP".

He thought it was a dream, who couldn't?. When he told me about it I remembered the words of Bro Makuta "Your papers are already out".  We had been granted the permit on 30 September and were informed on 5 October after prayers by Bro Makuta in Malawi. I had  waited for 4 years to get these papers.

From that moment my faith got stronger and stronger and I always tell people that I am a living testimony. It's now a year and 2 months since we got our papers and God keeps blessing us. We now live in a beautiful house and don't pay rent, and our son is now getting child benefits weekly and is going to a good school.

Always remember us in your prayers because when God does something good , Satan wants to get in too, but we don't let him do that. Right now my husband is going to get baptised and we are planning to have our marriage blessed  in church. It's a looooooong story.

"HAPPINESS DOES NOT CONSIST OF HOW MUCH OF THE WORLD'S GOODS YOU OWN, BUT HOW CONTENTED YOU ARE WITH THE PORTION THAT'S ALLOTED TO YOU"

EXCERPTS from the message "My Life Story, Angelus Temple, Los Angeles" preached in 1959

"And he reached over and got me by the hand. He said, "Bill, listen, money ain't all things that's in human life." He said...... I said, "Charlie, I--I only make twenty cents an hour, but I love her and she loves me. And I promise you, Charlie, that I'll work till these... the callouses wear off of my hands, to make her a living. I'll be just as true to her as I could be."   He said, "I believe that, Bill." He said, "Listen, Bill, I want to tell you." Said, "You know, happiness, don't altogether take money to be happy." Said, "Just be good to her. And I know you will."  I said, "Thank you, Charlie. I sure will do that." Then it was her time to tell Mama. Don't know how she got by, but we got married".

"So, when we got married, we didn't have nothing, nothing go housekeeping. I think we had two or three dollars. So we rented a house, it cost us four dollars a month. It was a little, old two-room place. And someone give us an old folding bed. I wonder if anybody ever seen an old folding bed? And they gave us that. And I went down to Sears and Roebucks and got a little table with four chairs, and it--it wasn't painted, you know, and we got that on time. And so then I went over to Mr. Weber, a junk dealer, and bought a cooking stove. I paid seventy-five cents for it, and a dollar and something for grates to go in it. We set up housekeeping. I remember taking and painting a shamrock on the chairs, when I painted them. And, oh, we were happy, though. We had one another, so that was all necessary. And God, by His mercy and His goodness, we was the happiest little couple could be on the earth".

" I found this, that happiness does not consist of how much of the world's goods you own, but how contented you are with the portion that's alloted to you".
"No money, I pastored the church seventeen years and never got one penny. I didn't believe in tak-... There wasn't even an offering plate in it. And what tithings I had from work, and so forth, had a little box on the back of the building, said, little sign on it, "Insomuch as you have done unto the least of these My little ones, you have did it unto Me." And then that's how the church was paid for. We had ten-years loan to pay it, and was paid off less than two years. And I never took an offering of no kind"

"And, that day, they'd had fine, young preachers out there, and they had preached powerfully. And then they said, "The one's going to bring the message tonight is..." I believe they called him, "Elder." And their ministers, instead of "Reverend," it was "Elder." And they brought an old colored man out there, and he had one of these old-fashioned preacher's coats. I don't guess you ever seen one. Long pigeon-tail in the back, you know, with a velvet collar, and he had just a little white rim of hair around his head. Poor old fellow, he come out like this, you know. And he stood there and he turned around. And where all the preachers had been preaching about Jesus and the great... how great He was, and so forth, that old man took his text from over in Job. "Where was you when I laid the foundation of the world, or when the morning stars sang together and the Sons of God shouted for joy?" And the poor old fellow, I thought, "Why didn't they put some of them young fellows up there to preach?" Great... the place was packed and jammed. And I thought, "Why didn't they do that?"  So then this old fellow, instead of preaching what was going on down here on earth, he begin to preach what was going on in Heaven all the time. Well, he took Him up at the beginning at the beginning of time, and brought Him back in the Second Coming down the horizontal rainbow. Why, I never heard such preaching in my life! About that time the Spirit hit him, he jumped about that high and clicked his heels together, throwed his shoulders back and went tipping off that platform, said, "You haven't got room enough up here for me to preach." And he had more room than I got here. I thought, "If That'll make an old man act like that, what would It do if It got on me?" I--I thought, "Maybe I need some of That." Why, he come out here, I felt so sorry for the old fellow. But, when he left, I was feeling sorry for myself. And I looked at him go off there"

And the next morning I got down there. Invited us for breakfast. Course, I wouldn't come eat with them, because I had nothing to put in the offering. And I just went back. And the next morning when I went in, why (I eat some of my rolls), and set down. And they was got on a microphone. And I had never seen a microphone before, and I was scared of that thing. So they... And it had a little string hanging up here, and it hanging down. One of them drop mikes, like. And he said, "Last night, on the platform, there was a young preacher here, a Baptist."
I thought, "Uh-oh, I'm good for a working-over now."
And he said, "He was the youngest preacher on the platform. His name was Branham. Does anybody know any whereabouts of him? Tell him to come on, we want him to bring the morning message."
Oh, my! I had a little T-shirt on, and seersucker trousers, you know. And we Baptists believe you had to have a suit on, to get in the pulpit, you know. So... And I--I just set real still. And during the time... They had it up in the North then 'cause (their international convention) the colored people couldn't come to it if was in the South. They had the colored there, and I was a Southerner, had starch in my collar yet, you see, thought I was a little better than somebody else. And it happened to be that morning, set right down by me was a--a colored man. So I set and looked up at him. I thought, "Well, he's a brother."
And he said, "Anybody know the whereabouts of William Branham?" I scoots down in the seat like this. So he said, announced it the second time, said, "Anybody on the outside" (he pulled this little mike in) "know the whereabouts of William Branham? Tell him we want him on the platform for the morning message. He's a Baptist preacher from southern Indiana."
I just set real still and ducked down, you know. Nobody knowed me, anyhow. That colored boy looked over at me, said, "Do you know where he is?"
I thought. I--I either had to lie or do something. So I said, "Hold down here."
He said, "Yes, sir?"
I said, "I want to tell you something." I said, "I--I'm him."
He said, "Well, go on up there."
And I said, "No, I can't. See," I said, "I got on these little old seersucker trousers and this little T-shirt." I said, "I couldn't go up there."
He said, "Them people don't care how you dress. Go on up there."
I said, "No, no." I said, "Keep still, don't say nothing now."
And they come back to the phone a minute, said, "Anybody know the whereabouts of William Branham?"
He said, "Here he is! Here he is! Here he is!" Oh, my! There I got up with that little T-shirt on, you know. And here I...
He said, "Come on up, Mr. Branham, we want you to bring the message." Oh, my, before all them preachers, uhm, all them people! And I went slipping up, you know. My face red, and my ears burning. And I slipped up, seersucker trousers and T-shirt, preacher, Baptist preacher going up to the microphone, never seen one before, you see".
"And I stood up there, I said, "Well, I--I--I don't know about this." I was fumbling, real nervous, you know. And--and I got over here around Luke 16, and I thought, "Well, now..." And I--I got on the subject, "And he lifted up his eyes in hell, and cried." And I got... So I--I begin to preach, you know, and I got to preaching and felt a little better. And I said, "The rich man was in hell, and he cried." That little three words, like I have a lot of sermons like that, "Believest Thou This," and "Speak To The Rock," you've heard me preach them. And I had, "And then he cried." And I said, "There's no children there, certainly not in hell. Then he cried." I said, "There's no flowers there. Then he cried. There's no God there. Then he cried. There's no Christ there. Then he cried." Then I cried. Something got a hold of me. My! Oh, my! After, I don't know what happened. When I kind of got to myself, I was standing on the outside. Them people got screaming and shouting and crying, and I, we had an awful time. When I come outside there was a fellow walked up to me with a great big Texas hat on, big boots, walked up, said, "I'm Elder So-and-so." Preacher, cowboy boots, cowboy clothes on.
I thought, "Well, my seersucker trousers ain't so bad then."  Said, "I want you to come down to Texas and hold me a revival."  "Uh-huh, let me put that down, mister." And I put it down like that.  Here come a fellow up with one of these little, kind of a golf trousers on, where they used to play golf, you know, had them little blouse pants. He said, "I'm Elder So-and-so from Miami. I like to..."  "My, maybe dressing isn't so much of it." I looked at it, and I thought, "All right."  So I grabbed these things, and home I went. Wife met me, she said, "Why do you sound so happy about, Billy?"  I said, "Oh, I met the cream of the crop. My, it's the best you ever seen. Them people ain't ashamed of their religion." And, oh, I told her all about it. And I said, "And looky here, honey, a whole string of invitations. Them people!"

BIBLE - THE COMMON POINT OF REFERENCE IN THE WORLD OF CHRISTIANITY

READ this CONVERSATION to know HOW important it is to refer to the Bible in our Conversations;

"L-60 Now long ago, a very famous school here in--in this city, a seminary. And they have one in Phoenix. And one of the man, or a couple of the students, was, came down to me and said, "We like you, Brother Branham. We don't have nothing again' you, at all, but we'd just like to straighten you out."L-61 And I said, "Well, I sure want to be straightened out." So, and so I said, "If I'm wrong, I certainly don't want to be wrong; I talk to too many people."L-62 And he said, "Well, here is your trouble." Said, "You are trying to introduce, or to make live again, an apostolic religion. When, the apostolic religion ceased with the apostles."
And I said, "Yes, sir." I said, "Well, now if..." He said, "Now, I wouldn't debate it with you."
L-63 I said, "I wouldn't either. We don't. We're not supposed to do that. We're brethren."And he said, "Well," he said, "I would just like to help you." I said, "I'm certainly willing to get help." And he said, "Now, you see," he said, "now the... that's true."
L-64 And I said, "Now, on talking, we mustn't use textbooks." I said, "I won't use mine," and I had none but This one. But so--so I said, "I won't use textbook, just the Bible. And, you, we just use the Bible."
He said, "All right." L-65 I said, "Now, we believe that the apostolic church begin at the Day of Pentecost. Do you agree with that?" He said, "Yes, I do." [Acts 2:1]
L-66 I said, "Now we realize that God gave the church power there, for these apostolic movements." [Acts 1:8] L-67 He said, "Yes, that was the framework of the Church. Now the Church is already set in order, and we got all of our pastors, and our great organizations and things. We don't need those things anymore, to draw people."
L-68 I said, "Now where does the Bible say that?" I said, "You tell me where the Bible says that at." See? And he said, "Well, it doesn't exactly say that in that way."
L-69 I said, "Well, then, I can't receive it 'less it says it just in that way, see. See?" I said, "We're..." I said, "That's the way it has to be." I said, "Do you believe that God is still calling people?" He said, "Yes, sir." L-70 I said, "Now you will believe that the Bible is correct, every answer?" "Yeah."
L-71 I said, "Now, the spokesman at the Day of Pentecost, was Peter, who had the keys to the Kingdom." "That's right." [Matthew 16:18-19]
L-72 And I said, "Now, whatever his decision was, Jesus said, 'What you bind on earth, I'll bind in Heaven; what you loose on earth, I'll loose in Heaven.'" He said, "I'll believe that."
L-73 I said, "Now, in Acts the 2nd chapter and the 38th verse, Peter said to those people who were marveling. These people speaking in unknown tongues. And they asked him what they could do to be saved, and he said, 'Repent, every one of you, and be baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sin, you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost; for the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to them that's far off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.' Now if God is still calling, that same promise is for them." [Acts 2:38]
L-74 Well, he come over here and was with one of Billy Graham's groups up here praying for a meeting. And a group of them was sitting up here in California somewhere, a few weeks ago, in real deep sincere prayer, consecrated to God, fasting, and the Holy Ghost fell on the whole bunch and begin to speak in other tongues. Yeah.
L-75 Now he is a member of the--of the Friendly church, the Assemblies of God in Tucson, Arizona. He said, "Oh, Brother Branham, I go up there and feel so good!" Said, "Just raise back my hands, and," said, "the glory of God! I just sing!" And said, "I never could do that in a New Testament Baptist church."
I said, "I see you can't. That's why you're out." Yeah"

WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS - A SONG THAT NEVER GETS OLD

What is friendship? or rather who is your best friend on Earth? [hope you have an answer], From the answer you have given, Is he or she a best friend always, dont you shout at one another sometimes? Dont he/she deceive you or pretend he/she loves you inreturn of something (resprocity)? The list goes on.....but that is what a human being can offer and we are made that way so dont blame anyone ...but forgive each other. The good news is that there is this great friend -who never changes his words, never says am sorry actually I meant that...., he is a perfect friend who most importantly can solve every single problem one has. Remember! HE IS ABOVE ALL. HE HAS HIS NON-CHANGING PRINCIPLES - that is his WORD.

Mathematicians have taught us 1+1=2, thats a principle and everyone abides with it, so what about this spiritual mathematics? Holy life + believe + Pray (ask) in the Name of Jesus Christ = Receive it (get it).  You dont ask or ask with a diferrent name or with unholy life or doubting ≠ You recieve (get) it. Strange????? Jesus knows your problems even before you start praying or even before they occur/happen but his principle is - live the life worthy of a gospel and pray  in his name (ask) while believing and then u get an answer. Ask and you shall......

Matthew 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive, John 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. 1John 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us. Colossians 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. However, he warned....James 4:3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

Read what the prophet said about our true friend Jesus Christ

"Jesus had gone away from the home of Lazarus, Martha and Mary. And now, when Jesus went away, sickness came in. And when Jesus goes away from your home, trouble will come in. Just remember when Jesus leaves your home, look out for trouble. You better treat Him right, and pray, and love Him, and keep Him there, 'cause He's the best companion and friend you ever had, or ever will. So you keep Him there. Make Him welcome. Live the kind of life that He would like to associate with you". Bro Branham -(1955), The Darkest Hour, Then Jesus Comes Along.

".......He went there and give the boy a shot, that one took. What was the matter? What taken place? Why wouldn't the others take? Prayer changed things. The boy is well and sound today. See what I mean? It's prayer that changes things. Get your head set level. Look towards Jesus Christ. Remember, He's the Author and Finisher of your faith. Have faith in Him; don't doubt. Believe that everything that He said is the truth. And God will heal you, both soul and body" Bro Branham - (1952)- Faith In The Son Of God, Civic Center, Hammond, IN.

GOD ONLY CAN WORK, AND ALWAYS HAS WORKED, AND ONLY WORKED THROUGH MAN

God always looketh for a man to work for him and that man is you and not your pastor, your deacon, or somebody you may be thinking of him now! Its you! The question is do you think you have really done what God instructed (wanted) you to do today, yesterday, a week past, at your work place, school, college, at home? Mind you God always works through believing men. see what the prophet said

QUOTE: LOOK AWAY TO JESUS, PAGE 41, “Now remember; now I am just your Brother. I am sure you understand that. I am a man. He is God. BUT GOD ONLY CAN WORK, AND ALWAYS HAS WORKED, AND ONLY WORKED THROUGH MAN.” (End quote)

QUOTE: WHY CRY SPEAK, PAGE 12, “I, there the personal pronoun, ‘I have come down to deliver them.’ And now, and may I just add this if it….God forgive me if this sounds sacrilegious; ‘I do not work on the earth, ONLY THROUGH MAN. I am the vine, ye are the branches, and I only declare Myself when I can FIND A MAN, and I’ve chosen you (Moses) and I’m sending you down to take them out……” (End quote)

Ezk 22:29-31, “The people of the land have used oppression, and exercised robbery, and have vexed the poor and needy; Yea, they have oppressed the stranger wrongfully. Verse 30, “AND I SOUGHT FOR A MAN AMONG THEM, THAT SHOULD MAKE UP THE HEDGE, AND STAND IN THE GAP BEFORE ME FOR THE LAND, THAT I SHOULD NOT DESTROY IT, BUT I FOUND NONE. Verse 31, “Therefore have I poured out Mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of My wrath, their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord.”
