Faith is a Revelation , a Substance

RAPTURE.THE_ YUMA.AZ V-5 N-14 SATURDAY_ 65-1204
65 But to the church, the Bride, the rapture is a revelation to her. It's revealed to her, that the revelation, the true Bride of Christ will be waiting for that revelation of the rapture.
Now, it is a revelation, for the revelation is faithYou cannot have a revelation without it being faith. Faith is a revelation, because it's something that's revealed to you. Faith is a revelation. Faith is something that has been revealed to you like it was to Abraham, that could call anything contrary to what had been revealed to him as though it wasn't so. Now, faith... That's what faith is, is the revelation of God. The church is built upon a revelation, the whole entire body.

INVISIBLE.UNION.OF.THE.BRIDE_ SHP.LA V-2 N-15 THURSDAY_ 65-1125 24-1 What is a--what is a revelation? Jesus said, "Upon this Rock I'll build My church, and the gates of hell can't prevail against it." Faith is a revelation, because faith has been revealed to you. Abel, by faith offered by revelation (faith) offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than that of Cain.
Cain thought they eat apples. They still got that idea, but it wasn't. It was adultery: serpent's seed. And there, when the Seven Seals opened, it declared it and proved it. (My book's just out on it. I think we have got a thousand here now. See?) Notice, that's Scripturally from Genesis to Revelations. At the end-time both trees are coming to the seed and proving themselves.

WORKS.IS.FAITH.EXPRESSED_ SHREVEPORT.LA V-7 N-1 FRIDAY_ 65-1126

105 Now, "faith" is a "revelation from God." Now, "faith" is a "revelation." There's where I want to stay there just a moment. It's a revelation. He has revealed it to you by His grace. It's nothing you did. You didn't work yourself up into faith. You never had faith; it's give to you by the grace of God. And God reveals it to you; therefore, faith is a revelation. And the whole Church of God is built upon the revelation.

ANOINTED.ONES.AT.END.TIME_ JEFF.IN V-5 N-3 SUNDAY_ 65-0725M
53 You said, "It wasn't a revelation." What is faith? Faith is something that's revealed to you, that is not yet, but you believe it will be. Faith is a revelation of the will of God. So by revelation...
And the churches today don't even believe in spiritual revelation. They believe in a dogmatic teaching of some system. "By revelation Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than that of Cain, which God testified he was righteous." Amen. I hope you see that. See where we're living, see the hour?

BELIEVING.GOD_ JEFF.IN V-19 N-7 SUNDAY_ 52-0224
56 Turn to Genesis 22 now. I'm going to read some for the lesson before prayer service. All right, we're going to start along about the... Let's just talk of it a little bit.
I'll tell you what we'll do. I want you to get in Romans 4 also. I'm going to teach a little about faith. That's what we all need a whole lot of, isn't it? Faith is not a--is not an evidence; only it's a substance... Faith itself is a substance and an evidence of things that the senses of the body won't declare. And I thought, maybe, in teaching this, would--would spur your faith up (See?), get it to a level to where that God can move into you and bless you.

SIRS.WE.WOULD.SEE.JESUS_ NEWARK.NJ WEDNESDAY_ 57-1211
E-54 How would you ever know you touched Him, if there wasn't something the come back and told you? See, faith is not something that... It's not a myth. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence that something's happened of things not seen. It's not just--just a make belief, and say, "Well, oh, yes. Hallelujah, I got it." That's been too much in you Pentecostal people to begin with. You're rejoicing about something that you don't have.
Faith is absolutely a substance
. It's not a hope. Hope isn't--hope isn't... Faith is the substance of things hoped for. But when faith takes it, it becomes the substance that you hope for (See?), the evidence of things not seen.

SPEAK.TO.THIS.MOUNTAIN_ BROOKLYN.NY SUNDAY_ 57-1215
E-12 With my purchase power, there's where it is, Christian friends. Please understand. May God open our hearts to this understanding, that faith is not a myth, neither is it something that's a--you just imagine. Faith is positive. Faith is the substance, just the same as this glass is, just the same as this book is. "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence..." O blessed be His holy Name. It is the evidence of things you do not see, but you believe it. When God has spoken it, God has to keep His Word. And every promise is yours if you can receive it as yours.

HAVE.FAITH.IN.GOD_ CHICAGO.IL SUNDAY_ 58-0105
E-6 Now, some thinks that it's a mental conception of the Word, but that is not right. Faith is a substance. Faith is not a myth. Say... Faith is a substance of things hoped for; the evidence... To have an evidence, it must be a substance. So it is not just something that you imagine in your mind; it's something that absolutely, you have. It's something that you possess in your own being. And what is it? It's the evidence of things that you have hoped for. It's the evidence of things you do not have as yet, but you have the authority of God to say that you have it. It's an evidence, something you have in your heart.

UNCERTAIN.SOUND_ CHICAGO.IL SATURDAY_ 61-0429E
E-8 Now, "If the trumpet gives an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself for battle?" Now, that is quite a statement: "The Uncertain Sound."
Now, if you're not certain, then you can't have faith. If there's no certainty, then you cannot have any faith. Because faith is something that's certain. You know it. It's the--the... "Faith is the substance of things that's hoped for, the evidence of things that's not seen." It's not a myth. It's just not an imagination. And it's not hope, but it's faith.
And faith is a substance. It's something that God has given you. And then you do not see it, but you, yet you've--you've just as sure got it, as if you had it right in your hands. And faith is what purchases the product that you're hoping for.

CONFIRMATION.AND.EVIDENCE_ S.GATE.CA THURSDAY_ 62-0621E
E-19 Now, in Hebrews we're taught again, that the faith... Hebrews 11: "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." See? It is a substance. Now, it isn't a hope. Most people come with hope. But faith is the substance. It isn't something that you're hoping for. When faith has taken a hold, you have a substance, not just a myth. You've got a hold of something. You know it. Nothing shakes you from it. It's yours. You're positive. You have it in your hand. You've got it. It's your possession.

PERSEVERANT_ VICTORIA.BC SUNDAY_ 62-0729
E-25 I've noticed, and it's been very outstanding through thirty years in, thirty-one years, rather, behind the pulpit; and about sixteen years now in constantly around the world in prayer lines, and watching people... People always, will never--seldom find one that will confess that they have no faith; they've always got all the faith.
But see, faith is different than what you think it is; or not what you, I mean the average person, would think. Mostly, it's hope instead of faith. You have a mental conception of faith, what it means, and mentally you have faith. But you go deeper than that. See? You go deeper. Faith is positive. It is the substance. It's not a myth, not a intellectual imagination, but it is a substance. And substance is something that you can hold on to. See? It's "the substance of things hoped for, and it's the evidence of things not seen," in the Hebrews, the 1st--11th chapter, 1st verse. Now, that faith is not...

PERFECT.FAITH_ JEFF.IN V-6 N-11 SUNDAY_ 63-0825E
114 And so when a man lives by faith and walks by faith, I mean substance faith, he is isolated from the entire world and becomes a new creature in Christ. There, now you're getting into Bride material. You see, see? You're getting into rapturing condition now. That means for each one of us, not just the pastor, deacons, trustees; that means for the laity, every individual walks in a world with God alone. You're baptized into this Kingdom, and there's nobody in there but you and God. See? He gives the orders, and you pack them out. Whatever He says, there's not a shadow of doubt nowhere; you walk right on. If the Lord says this, there's nobody in the world can talk you out of it; you go right on just the same. Now, you're coming into perfect faith, perfect perfection that cannot fail. That faith never fails.
Yes, He was a mystic to them with His perfect faith; and so is it now with those who have perfect faith are a mystic to others.

PERSEVERANT_ TOPEKA.KS V-20 N-3 FRIDAY_ 64-0619
22 When a man gets his answer from God, there's nothing going to stop him.
Most people today, as I will repeat myself from last night, saying they have hope instead of faith. You find people coming on the platform, they're--they're just built up in hopes.
"But faith is the substance of things hoped for; the evidence..." So it's not a myth; it's not imagination. It's something you've got. You've already got it. And you're just as happy with it, that faith that you have, as you would be if you had the substance in your hand.

IT.WASN'T.SO.FROM.THE.BEGINNING_ PHOENIX.AZ SUNDAY_ 60-0306
E-10
Now, God is omnipotent, omnipresent. By being omniscient, makes Him omnipresent; He--He knows all things. But God could not be just like the air is, because God has a dwelling place. God is not a myth. God is a Being: God, Jesus. He, God, (pronoun), He is a Being. Therefore He's omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent, and infinite.
Now, to be infinite, it comes through a word "infinite," which "there is no limit." He is Eternal. Eternal is like a ring. It goes around and around, and you're trying to find where it began or where it ends. There is no beginning or ending to it.
God is like a great Diamond that sets like this. And the gifts of the Spirit is the reflection of this Diamond, that reflects rays of light off of this big Diamond. Like nine spiritual gifts in the church, is like nine rays that the Holy Spirit is reflecting into the church. What a Light to walk in, from the one great Diamond, God.

QUESTION OF THE DAY : AS A CHRISTIAN PARENT, WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOUR KID(S) TURNS TO BE NAUGHTY?

QUESTION: Dear Brother Branham, will all the sons and daughters of true, born again believers be saved?

ANSWER: No, brother; no, they sure won’t. See, as I copied David DuPlessis on this remark, “God don’t have grandchildren (see?), just sons and daughters.” See, they’ll have to be born just exactly like their father and mother was born of the Spirit. See? That’s what makes a man a new person, is because he’s born again, reborn. His first birth brings him a natural man on earth; his second birth brings him a spiritual man of heaven, see. It changes him, his soul, not his outward conscience, his outward being, his senses; he still fell, and smell, taste, and hear; but his inward parts, his desires, what motivates him, has been changed to God, see.
                                                    [ACTS16:28,31]
122 Now, remember, the only way that this could happen would be this: just like it was in the time of the Roman centurion. Paul told the Roman, him and Silas, when he wanted to pull his sword and kill himself, because God had shook the jail down with an earthquake; he said, “Do thyself no harm, seeing we’re all here. Rise!” And wanted to know what he could do. He said, “Rise and be baptized, calling upon---on the name of the Lord, and thou and thy house shall be saved.” See? In other words, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, thou and thy house shall be saved.”
123 Now, how? If your house believes in the same way that you believe. See? You pray and commit your children to God and hold onto God, believing that they will be saved.
124 I’ve just went through the experience with my Rebekah. See? Just commit it to God. When she got to be a little “teeannie,” and she was going with some girl when we first went out there, going---run over to some girl’s house taking music lessons.... And this girl ... I come by one day, and here this girl was setting at the piano playing rock’n’roll. Well, that was just enough for me! So I told her stay away from over there. See? And then she said, “Well, it’s the only place I got to go to take music.” (You know how “teeannies” get.)
125 And I said.... Every kid has to go through that. Practically everyone goes through that age. You did; I did. And we got to think their thoughts.
126 So then, a few days after that her mother got after her for something, and she sassed her. Now, that’s not Rebekah at all. Took off and slammed the door, almost, and knocked the things off the wall, went to school.
127 Now, I ought to have, seemingly, just taken my belt off, and followed her out there in the yard, and brought her back with warps around her, see. But I thought, “Wait a minute, I got to think eighteen year old thoughts.” See? “Now,” I said, “Mother, I know....” And she started crying, Meda. I said, “I know you done all you can do; I done all I can do. Now, if it’s out of our hands, we have to take the next step.”
128 As some lady sweetly wrote the other day (it’s in one of these questions here), said, “Brother Branham, you’re not the messiah, are you?”
I said, “No, ma’am.”
She said, “We believe you to be our shepherd, but you’re always pointing us to the great shepherd.”
I said, “That’s right; that’s right.” See?

129 I said, “Well look, Honey, now, you’ve got to listen to me. It’s hard for you to do this; I’m your husband. But people drive across the nations and around for just a few words of advice. Now, if you.... I talked to her the other day, and she just walked away from me.”
130 Now, Becky never did do that to me. See? And when her mother said something about it, she slammed the door and said, “You expect me to set here and be a wallflower all my life?” And blammy! She slammed the door and went out. That was the devil.
131 I remember, the first two years of her life she cried. We go into a restaurant and eat; I’d walk her on the street while Meda eat, and then she’d walk her while I eat. Just cried and cried. And one day up here in Canada, cried all night, and I couldn’t rest and everything; me standing there and I ... something said to me, “It’s the devil getting at your ministry.
132 I said, “Hand me that baby.” I said, “Satan, in the name of Jesus Christ, you take your hands off of her.” she stopped right then and never cried no more. She’s the quietest kid I got. From that very hour it was gone. You have to get that.... You have to have that in you though, before you can do it!
And then when she---and then that---she started that. And I took Meda about a hour. I said, “Meda, take your hands off.”
“Me? That’s my kid!”
133 I said, “Isn’t it mine too?” All right. I said, “If she was dying this morning, you’d have to commit her to God for her eternal destination. Why can’t we commit her to God now for her earthly journey?”
And she said, “Well, that’s my kid!”
I said, “It’s mine too.”
I said, “Now, can you take your....”
“Me not say nothing to her?”
134 I said, “I never said that. We’ll quit scolding her, just advise her. She needs a buddy, and you’re the one to be her buddy, you and I. We’re her parents.”
135 These kids today needs a buddy. If they had a mother and father would stay home and take care of them, instead of out here in a barroom running around all night and things like that---wouldn’t have a juvenile delinquency, see.
136 They got away from the Bible; they all went to church and played bunco games and things like that and ... see. You’re trying to polish up like Satan’s ground out Hollywood’s. You could never bring Hollywood into the church, you’ve got to---I mean bring the church into Hollywood, you’ve got to bring Hollywood to your grounds. See? Not go on their grounds, let them come over here. We got something they know nothing about.
137 So we there got down on our knees and committed it to God. I said, “I know she’s eighteen years old---will be in a few days, and she ... and a girl that age will think about boyfriends, and we’ve kept her in.” I said, “I never wanted to see her get married. I want to put her in the office here, do the work. I want to see her filled with the Spirit and live like that.”
And she.... Well, we all wanted that. She said, “Well, we can’t do that.” Said, “She just won’t listen to it.”
138 I said, “Wait a minute! We’ve raised her all we can, now put her in the hands of God---commit her.” And I said, “Then when she does anything say, ‘Becky, darling, mother don’t want you to do that, but I’m your pal; I’ll stick by you.’ Let her know that you love her. She’s going to get somebody to love her, and it might be the wrong woman.” See? I said, “You be the woman does the loving.” I said, “Honey, that sounds kind of crude, but people come everywhere, and set on personal interviews, and things.” I said, “I’m so common; we’re common to one another, because we’re husband and wife, but we never let that happen. You must remember, this is the name of the Lord!”
So she said, “All right.”
We got down and committed it to God. Said we’d take our hands off it.
That afternoon she come in; she said, “Well, I guess you’re still saying I ain’t going over there!
139 Meda said, “No, I never said nothing about it.” Said, “You know, Mother don’t want you to do that; and you know that it liked to killed your daddy when he heard you up there playing that boogie woogie music, ever what it was, with that girl.’ Said, “Now, he didn’t want you to do that, and we don’t want you to do that, Becky, but we just committed it to the Lord. I want you to know we love you. Whatever you do, we still love you.”
She hollered, said, “I’m going anyhow!”
Said, “All right, Dear.” So went ahead. Said, “All right, I’ll have supper ready when you get back.” She never did go! No, she’s never went since. See?
140 Not long after that she met George; George is a Christian. That settled it then.
141 She was trying to tell Mrs. Wood about it the other day. She said, “Oh, I got awful wild.” Said, “Daddy and Mother committed me to the Lord.” Said, “Awful wild.” But that was wild to us; we don’t want to get any wilder than that, see. Just let it go like that. All right.

QUESTION OF THE DAY

QUESTION:
"Brother Branham, I am saved and have been baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, but how do I get away from a stubborn spirit that I can't seem to break away from?"

ANSWER:
46 Well, my Christian brother or sister, whoever it may be, now, most times when you find people that's got stubborn spirits, it's usually a complex that causes this. Either they have inherited it from a mother, father, uncle, aunt, or grandmother, grandfather, somebody like that. . . . If you'll trace back down through your life, you'll find. . . . Now, I've taken this by experience, under discernment, because I have met cases on the platform, thousands of those that had that spirit. And the first thing you know, I'd trace that spirit right back by discernment, and find that there was a granddaddy, there was a grandmother, there was somebody else back down there, and you inherit that by nature.
47 Stubborn---stubbornness is not of God. And now the only way to get away from that is you have to have faith to overcome that. You are a Christian, you are a son or daughter of God, whichever you may be. And you'll never be able just to stand and rebuke it and rebuke it and rebuke it. It's just like tantalizing a rattlesnake. He's laying there ready to bite you. If you'll just ignore him and walk away from him, he can't hurt you, see.                                    [ JAS 4:7]
48 So when you feel that you got a stubborn spirit, lay the thing on the altar, and believe God that the thing is dead and you'll never have it no more. And go on and don't even pay any attention to it no more, and the thing will leave you. Resist the devil and he will flee from you---that's, get away quickly. So that would be my advice how to overcome it. We overcome the devil by faith. That's what we overcome all evil, is by faith.

LOVING THE UNLOVABLE - [Read what Bro. Branham said]

BEYOND THE CURTAIN OF TIME  Jeff,. IN (61-305) E-25
[Whatever you do, lay aside everything else until you get perfect love. Get to where you can love everybody, even every enemy. No matter if the plane is rocking, the lightning is flashing, or the guns of the enemy are upon you, these things do not matter; get perfect love.

INFLUENCE              New York, NY         (63-1114)
109    Reverence, we ought to honor one another, respect one another as brother, sister. And love one another with undying love. You say, "Well, I just can't." Well, just stay here a little longer, and then you will like people too. You'll love those who doesn't love you. That's really a good sign of Christianity: when you can, from your heart, love those who does not love you. Love the unlovable.Jesus said, "If you just do favors for those that do favors for you, well, the publicans do the same thing." But, see, you must be kind to those who are unkind to you; Do good for those that would do evil to you. Always remember that. Keep that before you, that God's watching you. Remember, God was good to you when you were evil to Him. "While you were yet sinners, Christ died for you."

LAW HAVING A SHADOW         Chicago, IL        (56-0621)
E-48    I always do what I want to. God lets me do what I want to, and I'm so glad of it. If I did what the devil wanted me to do, it's hard to tell what I would, but I--if I do what I wanted to do like I did before I was saved... But now, there's a new Spirit in there. And it's not the spirit of a lamb, neither the spirit of William Branham; It's the Spirit of Jesus Christ that makes me love the unlovable and makes me do things that I thought I never would do. It's Him.

UNCERTAIN SOUND             Chicago, IL              (61-0429E)
E-11    They go down the road at night, and the man will dim his lights, and the next man won't even dim his lights, just go on, pay no attention to it. Let him go, and blind him as necessary. That's Pentecostal cursing. You see? "Let him alone, he ought..." We shouldn't do that, no matter what the other fellow does. Let's--let's show what we're made out of. If... Let's get something down in here to show love and respects. And respect the next man and--and love him, whether he's right or wrong.
If you can just love those who love you, why, the sinners do the same thing. But we're different. When Christ has come into our heart, we love those who do not love us. Love the unlovable. And we were unlovable one time too, you know. And Christ loved us until we came to HimAnd then if we be of Christ and Christ is in us, we have that same Spirit of fellowship, and cooperation, and helping to try to move the great load, and make life a little easier for our fellow man.

THINKING MAN'S FILTER         Jeff.   IN          (65-0822E)
197    How do you like a thinking man's Filter? When you go on the street to rub arms with the world tomorrow, brother, sister, have you got the thinking man's Filter? When that man calls you a holy-roller, do you use a thinking man's Filter? When that somebody says something evil against you, do you have a thinking man's Filter? See? Do good for evil. Pray for those that despitefully use you and those who persecute you; then you're breathing through the thinking man's Filter.
For if you love those just who love you, as we shook one another's hand that's dearly beloved in the Lord, that's good; but can you also love the unlovable; that's the thinking man's Filter; that's the Spirit of Christ in you, loving those who don't love you, then you have the reward of God. But now, if you do it as a duty, you still haven't got the thinking man... You're only up in the second cycle. But if from your heart you really love him, then you're breathing through the thinking man's Filter, and It satisfies a holy man's taste, that you know from your heart you forgive everybody everything, no matter what taken place. Isn't He wonderful?

63-0714 Humble Thyself
And if you want to get somewhere with God, never let an arrogant spirit ever come around you. Don't let no malice come in. No matter what anybody does, if they are wrong, don't you never build up a complex against that person. See? You be sweet and kind. Remember, God loved you when you were in sin. And if the Spirit of God is in you, you love the other person when he's in wrong. See, just pray for them, and love one another. Above everything, love God and love one another.

‎60-1207 THE.PERGAMEAN.CHURCH.AGE
Try to do something good and just keep being good; hold no malice, no grudges, don't let any bitterness. No matter how bad the person is and how bad they talk about you, don't you never think evil in your heart against them; 'cause right there the Devil will set right in, work up something right there. Just keep it all covered up with godly love, confession, and making right, and do good to those who do evil to you. "If you only do good to those who do good to you, why," Jesus said, "don't the publicans the same?" See? The sinners, anybody can be good to those that's good to them. But be good to those who are not good to you, do something for those that would not do nothing for you. Speak a good word for the man that would speak evil against you, and that way you keep all the bitterness out of your heart; and you're always in love with everybody then, as long as you stay in love.
