This is good

I heard the story about a king in Africa who had a close friend with whom he had grown up. The friend had a habit of looking at every situation that occurred in his life (positive or negative) and remarking, "This is good!"
One day the king and his friend were out on a hunting expedition. The friend would load and prepare the guns for the king. The friend had apparently done something wrong in preparing one of the guns, for after taking the gun from his friend, the king fired it and his thumb was blown off.
Examining the situation the friend remarked as usual, "This is good!" to which the king replied, "No, this is NOT good!" and proceeded to send his friend to jail.
About a year later, the king was hunting in an area wherein he should have known not to hunt. Cannibals captured him and took them to their village. They tied his hands, stacked some wood, set up a stake and bound him to the stake. As they came close to set fire to the wood, they noticed that the king was missing a thumb. Being superstitious, they never ate anyone who was less than whole. So untying the king, they sent him on his way.
As he returned home, he was reminded of the event that had taken his thumb and felt remorse for his treatment of his friend. He went immediately to the jail to speak with his friend. "You were right", he said, "it was good that my thumb was blown off." And he proceeded to tell the friend all that had just happened. "And so I am very sorry for sending you to jail for so long. It was bad for me to do this."
"No," his friend replied, "this is good!"
"What do you mean, 'this is good!' How could it be good that I sent my friend to jail for a year?"
"If I had NOT been in jail, I would have been with you, and I would have been eaten!"

The Devil's Beattitudes

If the Devil were to write his Beatitudes, they would probably go something like this:

Blessed are those who are too tired, too busy, too distracted to spend an hour once a week with their fellow Christians in Church -- they are my best workers.
Blessed are those Christians who wait to be asked and expect to be thanked -- I can use them.
Blessed are the touchy, with a bit of luck they may stop going to church -- they are my missionaries.
Blessed are those who are very religious but get on everyone's nerves -- they are mine forever.
Blessed are the troublemakers -- they shall be called my children.
Blessed are those who have no time to pray -- they are easy prey for me.
Blessed are the gossiper -- for they are my secret agents.
Blessed are those critical of church leadership -- for they shall inherit a place with me in my fate.
Blessed are the complainers -- I'm all ears for them.
Blessed are you when you read this and think it is about other people and not yourself -- I've got you.

IF YOUR GIFT IS NOT PACKED THE WAY YOU WANT IT, IT'S BECAUSE IT IS BETTER PACKED THAT WAY! [email attachment]

A young man was getting ready to graduate from college. For many months he had admired a beautiful  sports car in a dealer's showroom, and knowing his  father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted. As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had purchased the car.
Finally, on the morning of his graduation, his father called him into his private study. His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and told him how much he loved him. He handed his   son a beautiful wrapped gift box.
Curious, but somewhat Disappointed, the young man opened the box  and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible, with the  young man's name embossed in gold. Angrily, he  raised his voice to his father and said, "With all  your money you give me a Bible? and stormed out of the house, leaving the Bible.
Many years passed and the young man was very  successful in business. He had a beautiful home and  wonderful family, but realized his father was very old, and thought perhaps he should go to him. He had  not seen him since that graduation day. Before he  could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed  all of his possessions to his son. He needed to come  home immediately and take care of things.
When he arrived at his father's house, sudden  sadness and regret filled his heart. He began to  search through his father's important papers and saw the still new Bible, just as he had left it years  ago. With tears, he opened the Bible and began to turn the pages. His father had carefully underlined a verse,

Matt 7:11, "And if ye, being evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much mor e shall your Heavenly father which is in heaven, give  to those who ask Him?"

As he read those words, a car key dropped from the back of the Bible. It had a tag  with the dealer's name, the same dealer who had the  sports car he had desired. On the tag was the date  of his graduation, and the words...PAID IN FULL.

How many times do we miss God's blessings because  they are not packaged as we expected? I trust you enjoyed this. Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; but remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for...
IF YOUR GIFT IS NOT PACKED THE WAY YOU WANT IT, IT'S BECAUSE IT IS BETTER PACKED THAT WAY!

Healed After 54 Years On A Wheelchair -ZIMBABWE

In a story that is reminiscent of Congressman Upshaw’s healing in Bro Branham’s meetings, Mrs. Josephine Ndlovu of Mutapa, Gweru was healed of polio and walked for the first time in 54 years. Mrs. Ndlovu was struck by polio at the age of 4 and from then she has been using a wheelchair.
Bro George Mbewe had a dream of someone getting healed and he told his wife the dream. In the morning (8 December 2010) as they negotiated a footpath in their locality they spotted a woman on a wheelchair coming towards them. Bro Gearge told his wife that this must be the person he saw in the dream. They met the woman and exchanged greetings. Bro George asked the woman if they could have a few minutes to talk about the Word. The woman invited him to his house. At the appointed time Bro George went to the woman’s house in Mutapa Gweru but she was not at home. He called back several times but could not find her. On Saturday 11 December he went very early in the morning and found her as she was just about to leave. She was an ardent member of one of the Apostolic Sects) and she was going out to pray kuMasowe (They worship in open places and often do so early in the morning or late afternoon even at night). She agreed to go back inside her home. Bro George began to expound the scriptures to her (including Luke 1:37, Mathew 19:26 John 14:13-14, James 5:16). Then he prayed. He asked her to stand. She refused. He encouraged her and held her hand. As she stood there was a large sound of cracking. She sat down and stood again this time almost upright. Her left leg was 7cm shorter than the other but when she stood it was exactly the same with the other. Progressively she has regained her gait and is walking unaided.
(NB: This testimony was picked up by the local journalists and came out in the Chronicle of 22 December 2010 under the heading “Woman Walks After Prayer”)

COURTESY OF EASTLEA TABERNACLE

''STAND, YOU STAND'' A LOVELY SONG BY Bro. MATTHEW ARDLEL and THE CBW YOUNG PEOPLE

'I HAVE DECIDED TO TAKE A STAND NOT BELIEVING I MIGHT LOSE A BEST FRIEND'-- They sung this song in memory of Silas O'Brien. Its a lovely song that makes me remember the 14th day of November 2009 when, at an interval of forty minutes, my lovely dad and my dear brother were promoted to glory. And recently on 10th February 2011 my lovely mom (who was my best friend) was promoted to glory. I really have decided to take a stand and I am asking you to take a stand so that we meet on that bright morning. Christians never die, they simply SLEEP. "L-49 Now, if there's one death, and we know about it, then there's got to be another death somewhere; 'cause one death we die it here in the flesh; the second death we died it in the spirit, the soul. It's, "And the soul that sinneth, it shall surely die." Die is just absolutely go out from everything (See?), you're--you're... Death means to be taken away; it's--it's--it's carried away, hid away. Then when our loved ones die, they're out of existence as far as we know. We call that death. But a Christian does not die. There's no Scripture that a Christian dies, because he's got Eternal Life. When a sinner dies, he's finished, and his soul will finally die. But when a Christian dies, he's just waiting with Jesus to the return back again". Bro. Branham -The Pergamean Church Age.
So with regard to our best friends who are sleeping, we only miss their company on Earth but we will have the greatest ever joy when we meet them in that bright and blissful morning. Be blessed. I am bro. Joshua reporting for 'My Purpose on Earth'

"Stand" Bro. Oba Walker , David Dayal & Saints

"What do you say when friends turn away and you are alone?"
I really love this song.

EDUCATION! IS IT BAD? READ WHAT Bro. BRANHAM SPOKE

POOL.OF.BETHESDA.THE_ CLEVELAND.OH FRIDAY_ 50-0811
E-10 Jesus one time had a rag put around His eyes. And some of the same type of people smote Him on the face. "Now, if you're a prophet, tell us who smote you." He never opened His mouth or said a word. Wisdom is justified by her children. And that's right.
Be in prayer, be sincere, have faith and believe, and God will perform these things. But you must come reverent with spiritual faith in your heart, or God can't do nothing for you. The more humbler you get, and the less you know about the things of the world, the better off you are in the sight of God.
The greatest success I ever had was amongst people who hardly could read or write. But now, I'm not trying to support my ignorance or prejudices. But I'll say: The biggest hindrance that the Gospel of Jesus Christ has ever had, has been this modern day education. That's exactly right. Even in the ministry, they've explained everything out of the Bible; the Blood, the days of the miracles, the powers, it's all explained out.
And dear friends, don't you know that worldly wisdom is the thing that destroys the world? In the garden of Eden, there were two trees. One of them was the Tree of Life. When man eat from that tree, he'd lived forever. And the other was the tree of knowledge, which was the tree of death, which was the tree of sickness.
THOU.KNOWEST.ALL.THINGS_ HAMMOND.IN WEDNESDAY_ 52-0716 E-38 But He knowed men that's fooled with it and tampered with it, and try to have seminary experiences and great things like that. Not as I'm downing the seminary. It's all right. Go ahead. But brother, God...?...
I'd rather, my boy, here, he's fixing to go to Bible school, I suppose; but I'd rather that boy knowed God and being--in a new birth of being borned again, if he didn't enough education to know his ABC's. That's right. I... Education's all right, but I will tell you this. Now, put on your shock-proof coat, 'cause here it comes. Education has been the greatest hindrance that the Gospel of Jesus Christ has ever had. Thank you. That's exactly right. We've got some--we've got some educated infidel dummies. That's exactly what we got.
PALMERWM.CANKRWRM.CATRPLR.LOCUST_ CONNERSVILLE.IN FRIDAY_ 53-0612, E-62 What was it? The Holy Spirit come on him. Hallelujah! There was a need; there was a emergency. Something had to be done. And brother, what's that close to you tonight? You've at least got the baptism of the Holy Ghost. This whole group here, you raised your hands. What's that? The greatest weapon you can put in your hands, with the Word of God behind It to back It up. Don't let them rob you.
What the palmerworm left, the caterpillar eaten. But this tree will grow again. How, my, we claim to be Christians. How we claim to be warriors of the faith.
RESURRECTION.THE_ W.PALM.BEACH.FL SATURDAY_ 53-1205
E-13 Now, this afternoon I'm suppose to speak, or preach, or whatever you... As I've said before I'm not a preacher much; I'm what they call a spare tire. See? And then when I just preach around I...
Now, now, reason I say that, I say that because of the respect of... Now, saying is loving my Lord; 'course I love Him, sure I do. And I love Him just as good as... I don't... If getting an education makes you love the Lord more, brother, I'd start to college right now. I--I just don't... But God don't require an education for His love. He--He requires a simple heart just to believe Him. That's right.
And many times, I say this with... Now, I'm not trying to use this for crutches to support my ignorance, but education has been the greatest hindrance the Gospel of Jesus Christ has ever had. That's right. The--the greatest hindrance that the Gospel of Jesus Christ has ever had has been education. That's right. The theology has broke--has taken the place of the Holy Spirit. That's true.
INNER.MAN_ CHICAGO.IL SATURDAY_ 53-1212
E-51 Education is wonderful, but it's been the greatest hindrance the Gospel has ever had (That's right.) is education. Now, I--I'm not saying that to want you to be ignorant or something. You don't have to be ignorant. But, brother, the people have put everything on education, theology. And look what they've done. They have... They can't produce one evidence of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. They're no more than Mohammedans, or... The Mohammedans walk face to face with you and challenge the thing.
Here not long ago, Doctor Reedhead received the baptism of the Holy Ghost of the Sudan missions, a wonderful man. Stood in my house, and he said, "Brother Branham..." He had degree after degree after degree. He said, "But has the teachers been wrong?" He said, "I've been in and see them throw the furniture, and so forth and all this in the meetings, what they call the holy-rollers and so forth." He said, "But what I'm trying to think of: all of this that I've seen and--and all the degrees I've got," he said, "My heart's hungering for God." There you are, in the highest ranks in fundamentalism. "Now my heart's hungry for God." He said, "Is there such a thing as receiving the Holy Ghost after you believe?" [Blank.spot.on.tape--Ed.] See? That's right. That's right. See?
ELIJAH.AND.ELISHA_ PHOENIX.AZ THURSDAY_ 54-0304
E-18 So in America the signs and wonders of God can take place. If what was took place last night or the night before (one of those nights, either night) in Bombay, India, there'd been a hundred thousand souls won to Jesus Christ. But people walk in our meetings and walk back out, say, "Well, what do you think about it?"
"Just a polished up soothsayer, something like that." Yeah. "Just--just mental telepathy. God's real psychologist." That's--that's--that's the educated.
Education is (yet in it's best) has been the greatest curse that Christianity has ever had. Right. You educate the people till they know more than God knows about it. See? And that's where they don't know nothing then.
He that'll humble himself before God, God will take care of the rest of it. I... You just believe God. I'd rather... I've got two little girls here; I'd rather those little girls never even know their ABC's and yet know Jesus Christ, than to have all the education that the world could pile into them, and know how to... And don't know Jesus Christ. That's... I would rather they'd know Christ. That's right. Amen.
SOUTH.AFRICA.TESTIMONY_ NEW.YORK.NY THURSDAY_ 54-0902, E-4 And I was in France and Germany, I probably walked over the grave of a many dead Branham. And if come my time to die for this nation, I'd be glad to do it. If there's anything to keep freedom rolling. If it isn't worth living for, dying for, then get out of it. That's right. So then it's the greatest nation in the world. It's always great to come back home.
But the other nations, that if we visit now, friends, we feel that they are greatly in need of this wonderful outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
Not long ago in Africa when I seen the people when they taken the native and brought him in out of his natural tribe, give him a little education, he become very hard fellow to get along with. Brought the sins of his tribe, plus what the white man had, and he was a three-fold worse child of the devil then he was to begin with. Sometimes they even have to keep them out of their compounds after it gets along three, four o'clock in the afternoon, they'd kill you.
SEVEN.COMPOUND.NAMES.OF.JEHOVAH_ CHICAGO.IL THURSDAY_ 55-0120, E-13 And it's the greatest thing I ever knew in my life is living by the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, knowing He loves me and blesses me. And taking up money? If I ever took one hundredth of the money that's been offered me, not what I ask for, I never... But the money that has been offered me, I'd be a multi-millionaire. You know what? That gets you in trouble. I'd rather just take day by day, day by day, just live for the Lord. What I have need of tomorrow, He will provide tomorrow. That's right.
And then I... See, if you can get... Then you go to trusting in your riches. Then you go to, if you got education, you trust in it. If you got a lot of theology, you trust in that. I don't have theology, education, personality, money, or nothing. I just love the Lord and trust in Him for everything. That's all I have. See? I... That's the way I want to live. That's my choice is living that way.
SEAL.OF.THE.ANTICHRIST_ LA.CA FRIDAY_ 55-0311
E-34 But I don't mean to hurt you; I mean that we get this straightened out. You'll see one of the greatest revivals that ever swept the country. That's right. We get back to the starting place, begin right. There's only one thing to do; that's come back, if you see you hit the wrong road, make back-tracks, go back and see where you started from.
Man usually, when he's borned in the Kingdom of God, his face set right straight towards Calvary. Now, if he's just a little bit emotional, he will go off on fanaticism. If He's just a little bit his shrewd education, he will get so starchy, that he sets over on this side. That's right. But the true Church of the living God, goes right down to the center of the highway, preaching a sane solid Gospel, calling from both sides. Amen.
That's what we need today, a church that he wouldn't be ashamed for anyone to come into. It's perfectly governed by the Holy Spirit, no fanaticism, no starchy, just a good warm church, filled with God's Spirit. Watch that, the good solid Gospel teaching pastors. That's what we need. Amen. God help us to have it. God wants us to have it.
FELLOWSHIP.THROUGH.RECONCILIATION_ MACON.GA SUNDAY_ 55-0605, E-21 I can see them after they had sinned. Man in his primitive condition there after fall. He wants to find himself a way of escape. He wants to make it himself.
Just like they do yet today. The very strain of it there shows that it's still on man. He sewed himself a fig leaf apron. Put one on Eve and thought that when God came down and called him, that he would be able to stand in the Presence of God with a homemade apron. But it didn't work. When he found out that he had to stand before God, he found out that the apron would not work. Because he made it himself, and any handmade creed will never stand in the Presence of God.
We've tried to substitute education for fellowship. Get a bunch of people that's educated together, think that education will bring fellowship. Education, I say this: Education has been the greatest hindrance that the Gospel of Jesus Christ has ever had. That sounds strange, but it's the truth.
LEADING.OF.THE.SPIRIT_ CAMPBELLSVILLE.KY SUNDAY_ 55-0807E, E-3 Now, we will use for our subject tonight, "Expectations." And we will use for our text tonight, "Leading of the Spirit of God."
In the days of our text, it was quite a time in Jerusalem. The Israelites, the Jewish people had fallen away from their God, and had went out, and got formal and indifferent, claiming all the days of miracles were passed. And they read what Joshua done. They read was Moses done. But they had got down because there had been an increase in science, and in the--the people. Education had become a predominant thing.
It's too bad that those things has to substitute for the Holy Spirit. God have mercy.
I believe... I say this with reverence; I say this respect, and not using it for a crutch to support my ignorance: but I say that education has been one of the greatest curses that the religion of Jesus Christ has ever had. People substitute it for salvation. They think because the minister is very highly educated, speaks his words very well... What does God care about how you speak your words?
BLIND.BARTIMAEUS_ KARLSRUHE.GERMANY THURSDAY_ 55-0818, E-6 And you people, one of the smartest nations in the world, surely, you can believe. You know why? Our education hinders us lots of times. We have been taught everything. One teaches this, one this; it's contrary one to another. And the poor white people, and the people who lives in civilization, has so got so mixed up, they don't know what to believe. Now, isn't that about the truth?...?... You know it.
What we need today, and the greatest healing we need today is the healing of the body of Jesus Christ, His body, the body of believers that's been broke up by--by different denominations, and they different one from another. They don't have love one for another. What we need tonight is a uniting together, all Christians shake hands, every denomination, then God will come down and visit us. Great signs and wonders will take place. You believe that?
WHAT.IS.THAT.IN.YOUR.HAND_ SAN.FERNANDO.CA SUNDAY_ 55-1120, E-48 Moses was a changed man, not with all of his education his mother give him, not with all the education and the military geniuses that he was, that Pharaoh had chan--had trained him to be; and yet, Moses took a great choice. Moses said he esteemed the reproach of Christ greater treasures than that of Egypt.
What if Pharaoh would've only looked into the Word and seen what Moses did. And Moses made his choice forty years back, that he'd rather serve God than to become the heir and the greatest king in the earth, to be a Pharaoh of Egypt. He made his choice. But yet, brother, until he met God face to face, he was still trying to do it in hisself.
QUEEN.OF.SHEBA_ SOUTH.BEND.IN SATURDAY_ 58-0208
E-65 And how He made Hisself manifested there to the Jews, and they with the spiritual revelation. And Nathanael saw it. Peter saw it. The apostles saw it. They said, "That's the Son of God." But what did the educated Pharisees and Sadducees say?
Now, I'm not trying to make crutches for my ignorance, but speaking... Education is a wonderful thing, but it's been the greatest hindrance the Gospel's ever had. There'd never been a barroom that hindered the Gospel like a somebody that's got more education than they got common gumption to know how to control it. That's right. You get so educated, you know more than God knows about it. Just take it the way it's written and believe it. That's the way God wants you to do it.
JESUS.CHRIST.THE.SAME_ MIDDLETOWN.OH SUNDAY_ 58-0323
E-14 Not as I'm trying to use that crutches for my own ignorance and my lack of education. I'm not doing that. I'm only trying to make a point to say this: education's all right in its field, but education and religion doesn't go together, not by a long ways. Education, science has been the greatest hindrance the Gospel's ever had.
In the garden of Eden there were two trees, one were science, the other one was faith. When man left the Tree of Life, faith, and took a first bite off of the tree of knowledge, science, he destroyed his fellowship with his Maker. Every time he bites a bite off of that tree, he still separates himself from God.
So you don't know God by education. You don't know Him by the scientific researches. You know God by simple child faith. That's the way you know God, forgetting your education, forgetting all the other things and just simply know that you're a creature of His creation. There you know God by that, simple as that.
GOD'S.PROVIDED.WAY.FELLOWSHIP_ KLAMATH.FALLS.OR SATURDAY_ 60-0709, E-32 We'll never be able to ever educate people to Christ. Societies today (and most what we call societies) has produced more criminals than all the--the scalawags of the earth has done. The most criminal minded people comes out of what is known now as society, according to the FBI records. Now... And then educate them? They get so smart till they think they can outsmart the law; they know more than somebody else. Education is wonderful. It's the thing...
I'm not trying to support ignorance, but I'm trying to say this: That education has... It's been one of the greatest hindrance that religion of Christ has ever had. People are taking and using their schools of theology to try to educate people for well speaking, and how to present themselves, and so forth; and they go plumb away from the Spirit. God is not known by education; God is not known by denomination; God is not known by creed. God is known by faith and that alone! It's by faith are we saved. God is known by faith.

He said, "But what I'm trying to think of: all of this that I've seen and--and all the degrees I've got," he said, "My heart's hungering for God." There you are, in the highest ranks in fundamentalism.
COURTESY OF THE 'PURE QUOTES BY PAUL SMARSE'

Are you an eagle? Are you ready to take your flight? If you're ready to take your flight, rise to your feet, and claim your healing, and your salvation, and everything that you have need of. [Excerpts from the message 'As The Eagle Stirs Her Nest' by Bro. Branham]

L-43 The old eagle, he's such a wonderful bird. His habits, I like to watch his habits, what he does. I've watched them build their nests many times on the roundups, say--put my glasses on them, watch them.
Oh, I'd, when it's early of a morning, 'fore we even start on the drive, I'd get up there, and get my binoculars, see what that old eagle was doing to that nest yet. He goes out, and you ought to see him. He never builds his nest on the ground. An eagle won't build his nest on the ground. The eagle builds his nest way as high as he can get in the highest peak.
L-25 Now, a eagle was made a heavenly bird. He certainly was. And there's no other bird that can touch him. No, sir. He's the king of the bird family. That's true.
If a... You talk... You say, "A hawk's got a hawkeye." You've heard that. He's an amateur. He don't know what he's talking about. If that hawk would ever try to fly with that eagle, he'd disintegrate in the air. The eagle is a special-built bird. He has to be, because he can fly higher than any other bird. Well, now, if he didn't have a special-built body when he got up there, he would disintegrate too.
That's how people try to impersonate, to be something that they're not. That's what causes all your wrecks on the road, what I mean, on the road of life; because they're trying to impersonate somebody else, and they wasn't built that way. They wasn't made for that. I don't know whether that sunk in or not, but I hope it did. But anyhow... Oh, yes. Amen.
We find out, you know, the--the uncircumcised Egyptian trying to follow the circumcised Israelites, they got disintegrated too in the bottom of the sea. They couldn't cross. Their wheels mired down.
L-26 Now, we notice, as the eagle... And if he... What good would it do... Now, that's the reason God likened His prophets to eagles, because they could go so high.
Now, he's a special-made bird. And oh, his feathers are so tight you can't hardly pull them out with a pair of pliers. They're so tight, because if they wasn't, when he got up there, up in that spheres up in there, he'd--he'd--they'd come out of him. He'd fall back to earth, and just--he'd disintegrate.
And if a hawk tried to follow him, or the crow tried to follow him, he'd just leave him in the dust. And that... If he got any higher, he'd go so high, that's all the higher he can go, 'cause he's a crow, or a hawk. But an old eagle just keeps on climbing.

Now, what good would it do him to get up there, if he wasn't equipped with some eyes that could see a way away too? That's right. What good does it do to climb high, unless you live high too? Live to where you're climbing. High as you jump, live that high. You know what I mean. That's what brings so much reproach on the church, is people jumping way high and living real low. See? That's the thing we ought to do, yeah: live just as high as you jump. See? That's right.
L-27 Now, if the eagle didn't have some reason to be up there, he'd never be made that way. So that's the reason God made him and called him His prophet, because the prophet rises higher, like Isaiah, and Jeremiah, and them. They went way up in. Farther up you go, the farther away you can see. Now, some people just stays on the ground all the time, so his vision's just right here. But as you raise, higher you raise, further away you can see. Oh, my. No wonder some people's so nearsighted. They have never got their foot off the ground yet. Oh, higher you can raise...
And the eagle is the highest of all. He can raise higher than any other bird. Nothing can follow him. Why, I doubt whether an airplane could get to him, or not... [Blank.spot.on.tape--Ed.] There making it, generating its own air.
But when you get up in there, this bird, the live bird up in there, he look around; he can see. His eyes so far beyond the hawk, he can get up there and see things. Like if--if there was a storm coming, and you could be high enough in the air, you could see it hundreds and hundreds of miles away. If you was high enough up, you could see it.
L-45 Now, now, how much different that eagle is from a chicken. Oh, why, a chicken's a bird just the same as an eagle is. Did you know that? Why, a chicken is just as much bird as the eagle, but a chicken is his denominational brother, you know. They just ready to settle down in some creed, builds his nest right out in the barnyard somewhere, where every rat can run in and tear it up, scatter his little ones: whiskey, cigarette smoking, short-wearing women, bobbed hair, oh, everything just cut them to pieces.
But a real eagle takes his nest high. Every old filthy thing of the world can creep right into it, but an eagle takes his nest and puts his little ones that's going to be born so high till that foul breath don't even blow on him. Whew. You know I feel--I feel real religious right now. Somehow or another, I just feel good. Yes, bring him way up high...
L-55 "As an eagle renews his youth." Yes, sir. The revival takes and shakes all the old funny feelings away from you, fly out into an atmosphere yonder. Likened His heritage to an eagle, because the eagle renews his youth. Now, makes him shout. You watch the church. It'll be setting, all dry. First thing you know, the Holy Spirit strikes them, their youth... Why, the old people is just up on their feet, jumping and shouting and praising God, renews their youth again. That's right. Do anything a young person can do, just jump, and holler, and scream, and shout. He renews his youth. That's right. I believe in that, don't you?
L-88 Now, you that feel Him, and feel that He's nested, and placed some words, and some--something in your heart that you know you can go out of here a better person, feel that you got eagle vitamins in your heart now that'll make you a eagle, slip up your hand real easy to Him. That's right.
"I believe, Lord, You'll make me an eagle by Your grace. I'm not worthy but I'm Your eagle from now on." God bless you. "I can fly. I don't care what... Long as I look at Your great Word here and see You're the same, I believe You're the same. I believe You with all my heart, it's You, Lord." That sweet feeling...
L-89 I just noticed, coming right straight towards me, comes that Angel of the Lord, that Light. I know It was here somewhere. It's near the platform now. I take every soul in here in my charge in the Name of Jesus Christ, for the glory of God. I want you to have faith now to believe. Don't doubt; have faith. Now, raise your head up real easy.
Now, look this way. Jehovah Eagle, His great power... An eaglet is His offspring. Is that right? And the things that a father eagle does, his littleeagle son does likewise. Is that right? If Jehovah Eagle, then His son eagle... See what I mean? His daughter eagle, they're all the same. Isn't that right?

DONKEY LESSON [received it as email attachment]

One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do.

Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway; It just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.

He invited all his neighbours to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first the Donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone's amazement he quieted down.

A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well. He was astonished at what he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing.
He would shake it off and take a step up.

As the farmer's neighbours continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up.

Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and happily trotted off!

Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of our troubles is a stepping stone. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, Never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up.

Remember the five simple rules to be happy:

Free your heart from hatred - Forgive.
Free your mind from worries - Most never happen.
Live simply and appreciate what you have.
Give more.
Expect less.
