In a story that is reminiscent of Congressman Upshaw’s healing in Bro Branham’s meetings, Mrs. Josephine Ndlovu of Mutapa, Gweru was healed of polio and walked for the first time in 54 years. Mrs. Ndlovu was struck by polio at the age of 4 and from then she has been using a wheelchair. Bro George Mbewe had a dream of someone getting healed and he told his wife the dream. In the morning (8 December 2010) as they negotiated a footpath in their locality they spotted a woman on a wheelchair coming towards them. Bro Gearge told his wife that this must be the person he saw in the dream. They met the woman and exchanged greetings. Bro George asked the woman if they could have a few minutes to talk about the Word. The woman invited him to his house. At the appointed time Bro George went to the woman’s house in Mutapa Gweru but she was not at home. He called back several times but could not find her. On Saturday 11 December he went very early in the morning and found her as she was just about to leave. She was an ardent member of one of the Apostolic Sects) and she was going out to pray kuMasowe (They worship in open places and often do so early in the morning or late afternoon even at night). She agreed to go back inside her home. Bro George began to expound the scriptures to her (including Luke 1:37, Mathew 19:26 John 14:13-14, James 5:16). Then he prayed. He asked her to stand. She refused. He encouraged her and held her hand. As she stood there was a large sound of cracking. She sat down and stood again this time almost upright. Her left leg was 7cm shorter than the other but when she stood it was exactly the same with the other. Progressively she has regained her gait and is walking unaided. (NB: This testimony was picked up by the local journalists and came out in the Chronicle of 22 December 2010 under the heading “Woman Walks After Prayer”) COURTESY OF EASTLEA TABERNACLE | ||
"No, matter how honest, how decent, how moral you might be, how good you might be, what a fine sociable fellow you might be; you still miss the calling unless you serve the Lord Jesus and become a son and daughter of God. No, matter how good a neighbor you might be, how good a anything you may be, that's all good and we appreciate that. But my brother, until you become a son of God, you fail to answer the purpose that God put you on the earth to be. That's right" - WMB
