DON'T FUSS, DON'T FIGHT, LOVE EVERYBODY NO MATTER WHAT

307 Until then, I'm going to live true to that Word, so help me, God, because that's my Absolute, with malice towards none, with love and grace towards all. If that isn't right, God could strike me dead standing here in this pulpit. I have malice against nobody. I love everybody.

308  And don't you know, did you ever read First John 4:17, that you have to have correction like that, to make genuine love at the time of judgment? It's not to be different. It's love. Love is strict, and love chastens. 63-0127 - "An Absolute"

I love you. Don't forget the commandments of God to you, little children, "Love one another." Love everybody. Right or wrong, sinner or saint, love them, anyhow. If you don't, then pray God to help you, 'cause God loved the sinner. And the nature of God is in you. If the man is wrong, love him, anyhow. Don't partake of his sins. See? Don't partake of his sins. But in sweetness, not in sourness and rebuke, in sweetness tell him of the hope of Life that rests within you, through Jesus Christ being revealed to you by the Holy Ghost  63-0728 - "Christ Is The Mystery Of God Revealed"

Well, some new issues and the different kinds come in. If it's not of God it'll fall anyhow. So why… Just let them go ahead and let's love one another. Don't fight one another. As long as the devil's got you fighting one another, he don't have to fight at all. He will set back and has a picnic, watching you fight one another, and laugh at youprofessing to have the Holy Ghost, and fighting one another.

31  Love one another. Jesus said, "… this will all men know that you're My disciples, when you got love one for the other." This is when all men will know that you're My disciples: got love one for the other. That's the greatest evidence of the Holy Ghost that I know of, when you can love one another. Yes, sir. That's the great commandment. Great thing. Though you speak with tongues of men and angels, and have not love, it profits you nothing. 61-0129 - "Turning Northward"

Now I do have, of course, well, I wouldn't want to call "opponents," but I have people who does not accept the Message. And, why, my, I can't think hard of them. Jesus had the same thing in His day, everybody else has. And each time, of a Message of God, the world has never received It. But that doesn't make one speck of bitterness towards that person, or them people, or that organization. It's still just the same. I'm so thankful for that. That's one of the evidences that I know that I have passed from death unto Life; no matter what the brethren do, I still love them, you see. In my heart, I love them, see, 'cause it's a love that—that God has put in my heart for my brethren. And now the Lord bless. 63-0803B - "Investments"

56  The only thing the matter, get all these little differences away from you. Little isms, and little funny feelings around you for brethren, and things like that, shake it away! Don't let no root of bitterness ever get into your soul. If you do, it'll canker you. Right. Keep love! I don't care how much people hate you, you love them anyhow. If you can't do that, you need… the… you the ain't… you ain't sealed, you got a loose place yet. So come on, on back, and get that sealed up right good with the Blood of Christ. It'll cleanse you from all roots of bitterness. Yes.  60-1206 - "The Smyrnaean Church Age"

86 If the brother, you think he's a little wrong, or the sister, say, "Lord, don't let me never have the root of bitterness spring up, 'cause it'll—it'll affect him, and it'll take the Christ right out of my life." That poison acids of malice, and jealousy, and hatred, that will just take the Holy Spirit right away from you. It will run Him from the tabernacle here. It'll kill the Spirit of God, or drive It away from here, hurt you pastor. It'll do everything. See? Don't you do that.63-0728 - "Christ Is The Mystery Of God Revealed"

IT IS YOUR CHRISTIAN RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT, DON'T WAIT FOR HIM, GO TO HIM

200  You get here and say, for instance, two man, say Leo and I Well, you have to… And I say, "Well, you know, he wronged me." That don't make any difference; I'm supposed to go to him. Well, he's a member of this church. He—he's become a Christian. He takes the communion here at the rail with me. And we've been baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus, walked upright as brothers before each other, then something happened.

It ain't the man; ninety percent of the time it's the devil got between the people. It ain't the people; it's the devil. And as long as you let the devil doing that, you're harming your brother. That's right.

202  Well, something's wrong with Leo and I; let's go make it up. And if you see there's something, it's your duty to come to us, and say, "Both you boys come here and get together; we're going to straighten this thing up." Now, then if it comes to there… And there, come to find out then, here we are. I say, "Well, first thing, if we—we can't agree, then you come to the church like that."

And then if as long as you don't do nothing about it though, the Blood of Jesus Christ protects us both. See? But then that—that old cancer will start another cancer, and that cancer will start another cancer, and the whole thing will be sick all over the whole church. Then you get to a place you come into church, and just as cold, you'll have to have the janitor come break the icicles out 'fore the congregation can get in. Now, you know that's right. And cold… Somebody set around, you know, and just don't say nothing. "We used to be so spiritual." Well, what happened? You did run well, what was the matter? See, your sins separate you. God will hold you responsible for it, brethren. Now straighten this thing up.

204  Nothing's been wrong with me, nothing wrong with Leo; it's the devil got between us. That's right. Get the thing straightened out. Go to him. Then if he won't listen, or I won't listen, whichever way it is, then tell it to the church. If he don't come be reconciled to that church in thirty days, then he's brought from under the protection of Jesus. We loose him. That's exactly right. Then watch what takes place. Let God do the discipline then. You got your hands off. You done the best you could. Then let God have him for a little bit. He'll turn him over to the devil. He will come then. If he don't, his life is just a short span.   58-0927 - "Why Are We Not A Denomination?"

Now, if there comes something up in the church that's not right, then let the individual, who knows that's not right, go to the person. And if the person will not be reconciled; then the next thing to do is take a witness and go, or maybe one or two witnesses, and go to this person to get them reconciled or get the thing straightened out. Now, listen close! Now, this is being taped, also. And then if that don't work…

34  Don't never let a little ism, or a little something another, a little bad feeling ever rise up among you. Get it out of the way right now!So that's a little… It's the little fox that spoils the grapes, you know. So keep it out of the way! Any little funny feeling, go and tell the person to it. Say, "I'm—I'm wrong. I—I don't feel right towards you, or something. Help me to pray over it, that I'll get better." Because, we don't want nothing but just purely, the unadulterated, Holy Spirit of God among us. That's all we want. Then will the gifts and things will work right and everything will be coming right.

35  Why have a half a church when you can have a whole one? Why accept a substitute when the whole skies are full of the genuine? See? We don't want that. So if a little funny feeling ever comes up among with you members, one to the other, you go to that person.

You say, "Well, they did me… "

That… it's… Now, remember, not "if you have error or fault against a brother," but "If a brother has something against you." See? Go to him and be reconciled, tell him that you—that you've had a strange feeling about him and you want to make friends, and pray and go down at the altar and get the thing out of the midst of you.  61-0618 - "Revelation, Chapter Five #2"

And if you see a brother getting out of the way, go to him, and be reconciled with him if you can. That's right. That's what we got to do. And, friends, if you ever… What are you doing? If you don't do that, you're only making yourself a miserable creature and not a Christian. That's right. And all that you're doing is in vain. 54-1024 - "The Unpardonable Sin"

133 See? If you got something against somebody, your brother, don't tell somebody else about it. If it's wrong, go to him and tell him. And then if he's going to argue with you, then take somebody else with you. Then bring it up the way the Bible said. 62-0601 - "Taking Sides With Jesus"

If I knew tonight that I had an enemy… I may have. I perhaps have. But if I do, I don't know just who it is. If it was, I sure wouldn't go to preaching till I went first and made that right, see if I could get it straightened up, 'cause we're not supposed to have anything against anyone, or if anything we can do, let no one have anything against us. See? And now if… And It don't say, "If you have ought against a brother," but "If the brother has ought against thee," See? you go to him (See?) if he has the ought. And that way, why, we live peaceful.  61-0215 - "Thou Son Of David, Have Mercy On Me"

255  Do you love Him? [The congregation says, "Amen."—Ed.] Listen, my Christian friend. If there is an ought in your heart against anyone, go to them now and be reconciled. Forget all the past. And if you've been having an up-and-down life, remember, something has come into that heart, something has moved into those thoughts. No matter who your enemy is, love him. Love him. No matter what's happened, let it go. After all, you're in a field with weeds; we realize that; but we must both grow together. We've got to come up together.  54-1003M - "The Word Became Flesh (India Trip Report)"

LOVE IS CORRECTIVE

..... You—you're a woman driver; you're a woman hater; you do this and that."

No, sir. That's not right. That's a falsehood. I do not hate women. No, sir. I… They're my sisters—if they are sisters. But the thing I… Love is corrective. If it isn't corrective, it isn't love. 63-0319 - "The Second Seal"

144 You say, "What do you scold them for?" Genuine love is corrective.

147 When a preacher stand and lets you women bob your hair, and wear paint and stuff, and don't correct you, there is no genuine love there; and won't call it out. And let you man marry three or four times, and all of these other things, and get by with it, there is no genuine love there. Let you join a church, and pat you on the back, and smother you with some creed, saying, "That's all you have to do, is join the holy church," there is no love there. Or, either, the man is so totally lost, himself, he don't see. 64-0322 - "Possessing The Gate Of The Enemy After Trial"

22  And now I have a Message that I'm responsible for. And many times I've been considered, amongst the people, well, maybe someone who just didn't sit down and think a minute, that I was a—a, oh, an awful person, I didn't like people, and I was always cutting them. And that's not so. That isn't so. I love people. But, you know, love is corrective.

24  If you seen a man floating down a river, towards a falls, in a little boat, that you knowed that boat was going to sink when he hit the falls, would you say, "John, you, maybe you ought to think a while, maybe you might not make it"? If I know he's not going to make it, I'm going to almost jerk him out of the boat, if I can, because it's love that does that. 65-0429E - "The Choosing Of A Bride"

309 A man, would let his wife go out and run around all night with some drunk, come in, next morning, say, "Yes, dearie, I hope you had a nice time," you're a poor excuse of a man. Any man would let his wife get out there and wear shorts, and these little old bathing suits, bikinis, or ever what it is, lay out amongst these people, I got little hopes of you even being a man. That's right.

310 Man is not measured by how much his biceps are, how big a muscles he is. He is measured by his character. That's exactly right. And character comes from the Word of God, and that alone. 63-0127 - "An Absolute"

TELL THE TRUTH NO MATTER HOW IT HURTS SOMETHING

5  You want to live just what you talk about. If you don't live it yourself, how could you expect somebody else to live it. See? So you are written epistles read of all men; so always be honest, just, true. Tell the truth, no matter how bad it hurts something. Tell the truth anyhow, 'cause you can always tell it the same way each time. And if you tell a lie, you'd have to go a million miles around, and still you have to come back to that lie again; and you just made an awful thing. Just be honest, and you can always tell it the same way because it's the truth.
That's the way with the Bible. Tell it just the way the Bible says it; don't compromise with it; say it just that way, just… It's written right here and—and you can point your finger to it. It's—it's… That's where you defeat Satan. Satan said to Jesus, "If thou be the Son of God, let's see you perform a miracle. They say you're a miracle worker. Turn these stones to bread, and let's see. You're hungry."  61-0319 - "Jezebel Religion"

188 Why, people, they say I'm a woman-hater. That's far from the Truth. I do not. They call, "A woman-hater!" Remember, they called Paul a woman-hater. A woman minister, not long ago, said, "Oh, you're like old Paul, all he had to do is pick on us women."
189 A saint of God, that was permitted to write the Bible, the New Testament, and dispute his Words? He said, "If an Angel from Heaven teaches any other thing than This that I have said, let him be accursed," let alone some woman preacher.
190 They said Elijah was a woman-hater. He wasn't a woman-hater, of real women. He just didn't like them Jezebels.  65-0221M - "Marriage And Divorce"

Billy said to me this morning, he said, "Daddy, if you would have come with me this morning, early, right after daylight, and stand out here around in these places and watch mothers feeding their babies in the car, them poor people setting in that rain, waiting for the doors to open!" You see what a hypocrite I'd be if I told you anything but the Truth? I would really be a foul person. Sometimes I have to hurt, but it's not because that I want to, it's because… It's not me that's hurting. It's Truth that hurts. And I—I… But I believe that's the reason you come, because I'm deadly sincere with you, and do all that I can to help you. The Lord help each and every one of you. 65-0221E - "Who Is This Melchisedec?"
