LOVE IS CORRECTIVE

..... You—you're a woman driver; you're a woman hater; you do this and that."

No, sir. That's not right. That's a falsehood. I do not hate women. No, sir. I… They're my sisters—if they are sisters. But the thing I… Love is corrective. If it isn't corrective, it isn't love. 63-0319 - "The Second Seal"

144 You say, "What do you scold them for?" Genuine love is corrective.

147 When a preacher stand and lets you women bob your hair, and wear paint and stuff, and don't correct you, there is no genuine love there; and won't call it out. And let you man marry three or four times, and all of these other things, and get by with it, there is no genuine love there. Let you join a church, and pat you on the back, and smother you with some creed, saying, "That's all you have to do, is join the holy church," there is no love there. Or, either, the man is so totally lost, himself, he don't see. 64-0322 - "Possessing The Gate Of The Enemy After Trial"

22  And now I have a Message that I'm responsible for. And many times I've been considered, amongst the people, well, maybe someone who just didn't sit down and think a minute, that I was a—a, oh, an awful person, I didn't like people, and I was always cutting them. And that's not so. That isn't so. I love people. But, you know, love is corrective.

24  If you seen a man floating down a river, towards a falls, in a little boat, that you knowed that boat was going to sink when he hit the falls, would you say, "John, you, maybe you ought to think a while, maybe you might not make it"? If I know he's not going to make it, I'm going to almost jerk him out of the boat, if I can, because it's love that does that. 65-0429E - "The Choosing Of A Bride"

309 A man, would let his wife go out and run around all night with some drunk, come in, next morning, say, "Yes, dearie, I hope you had a nice time," you're a poor excuse of a man. Any man would let his wife get out there and wear shorts, and these little old bathing suits, bikinis, or ever what it is, lay out amongst these people, I got little hopes of you even being a man. That's right.

310 Man is not measured by how much his biceps are, how big a muscles he is. He is measured by his character. That's exactly right. And character comes from the Word of God, and that alone. 63-0127 - "An Absolute"
