"No, matter how honest, how decent, how moral you might be, how good you might be, what a fine sociable fellow you might be; you still miss the calling unless you serve the Lord Jesus and become a son and daughter of God. No, matter how good a neighbor you might be, how good a anything you may be, that's all good and we appreciate that. But my brother, until you become a son of God, you fail to answer the purpose that God put you on the earth to be. That's right" - WMB

Sitasumbuka kwani Mungu Ananitunza Daima [I wont suffer for God Careth For Me Forever]
I would like to begin with the 14th chapter of St. John. And let us begin at the... Let us begin at the 12th verse. And my subject tonight is: "The Comforter." And now, as we read, listen close to the reading: St. John 14, beginning with 12.Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go to my Father.
After Moses led them out, he come to the Red Sea. Right in the path of duty, there the Red Sea cut them off. Moses needed a bridge. God provided a wind. Amen. So Moses didn't--wouldn't have used the bridge. He took God's provided way, and he walked forward towards the sea. And it opened up, and Moses and Israel went over on dry land, because they followed God's provided way. Through the wilderness they come, the journey, heartaches and sorrows as they passed through. Moses got old, one hundred and twenty years old, and one day he was going to die. So he climbed up to the top of Mount Pisgah. And while he was up there viewing the promised land, death struck him, that faithful prophet of God, when there'd never been one lived like him. But death struck him. And when death struck him, he needed a place that he could die. God provided a rock, that same rock that had followed him through the wilderness. He climbed up on the rock and died. Then he needed pallbearers to bury him, and God provided Angels. And they come and packed him away somewhere in the earth.
Little Isaac with the wood laying on his back, and he said now... I love these words of Abraham. He said, to the servants, "You abide here," maybe not in that tone of voice, that word. "You wait here while the lad and I goes yonder to worship. And the lad and I will return." Amen. How is he going to return? If he's going up to kill him, how's he going to return? There you are. That's the trust in God. Oh, he didn't know how it would be. That's the reason he could call it Jehovah-jireh, the Lord will provide.
.............."Son, that day I was your Saviour. Today I'm your judge."
Little story comes to my mind. Sometime ago a little boy was sitting in a--a wagon. A gun fired down the street, and the horses run away and was going over a cliff. A young cowboy would run and stopped the horses just before the wagon went over the cliff, 'cause it had a baby in it. He saved the little one's life. Many years after that, standing in the courthouse. This same boy had done a crime, took the road that's wrong, been guilty. He was drinking, gambling, shot a man; and was guilty, found guilty. And the judge raised up and said, "I sentence you to hang by your neck until your mortal life is gone."
That young man said, "Judge!" And he broke the court procession, as he jumped over the rail and fell at the judge's feet, for mercy. He said, "Judge, look at my face. Don't you know me?"
He said, "No, son, I don't."
He said, "You remember a certain little boy's life that you saved many years ago from a runaway horse?"
He said, "Yes, I remember it."
He said, "I am that boy." He said, "Judge, you saved me then. Save me now."
The judge looked down at him and said, "Son, that day I was your Saviour. Today I'm your judge." Today He's your Saviour. Sinner, tomorrow He may be your Judge. Let's think it over now.....

I hear the sound of freedom - jubilee
Sound Of Freedom, Oba Walker - Third Exodus Assembly
Now, when the hearer heard the jubilee sound, and if he didn't want to be free, then he had to be sealed. And it is today, that when men and women hear this marvelous Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and of the baptism of the Holy Ghost, you're at a place where you have to make a choice. You can never hear it and be the same. If you accept it, you receive Christ. If you refuse it, you're sealed away from Christ. And it makes a difference of your attitude towards the hearing of the Word. ~~~~ Azusa jubilee [56-0916]
Remember, when the jubilee year come, and the--the priest rode with his trumpet sounding, that every slave could go free; but if they refused to accept their freedom, then he had to be taken to the temple to a post, and an awl bored him through the ear, and then he served his master always. And it's put on his ear as a type of hearing. Faith cometh by hearing. He heard that trumpet, but he didn't want to listen to it. And many times men and women hear God's truth and see it vindicated and proven truth, but yet they don't want to hear it. There's some other reason. There's some other choosing that they have than to face up to truth and facts. Therefore, their ears can be closed to the Gospel. They'll never hear it again. My advice to you, when God speaks to your heart, you act right then. Elijah gave them a choice which they should, "Choose you this day whom you shall serve. If God be God, serve Him; but if Baal be God, serve him." ~~~~ Choosing of a bride [65-0429E]

Have the seven thunders which equals seven mysteries already been revealed? Were they revealed in the seven Seals, but are yet--but are yet not known to us as the thunders yet? No, they were revealed in the seven Seals; that's what the thunders was about. They was to reveal... The seven thunders that had uttered their voices and no one could make out what it was... John knew what it was, but he was forbidden to write it. He said, "But the seventh angel, in the days of his sounding, the seven mysteries of the seven thunders would be revealed." And the seventh angel is a messenger of the seventh church age. See? ~~~ Questions and answers COD P:49 [64-0830E]
If religion only means to build a church for sacrifice and to be sincere, God would be unjust to condemn Cain
THUS SAITH THE LORD, it'll take perfect love to put you in that place, for that's all there was there. No matter how many, how much religious demonstrations, how many good deeds you done, or whatever you done, that won't count nothing on that day. It'll take perfect love. So whatever you do, you lay aside everything else, until you are just so filled with the love of God, till you can love those who hate you.I'm just, as I said this morning, I was made... My whole makeup is grace. A lot of people say, "Now, you scratch my back, and I'll scratch yours. Yeah, you do something for me, and I'll do something for you." That's not grace. Grace is, if your back is itching, I'll scratch it anyhow, whether you scratch mine or not; you slap me on the face, and say, "my back needs itching, needs scratching," I'll scratch it. See? That's it; do something. I don't believe in works; I believe that works is love. Works is--works is the manifestation that grace has taken place.

Jesus had just been speaking to the disciples and about sacrilegious. How that there was a--a publican went to the temple to pray, and a self-righteous man stood there. And how he in all of his good deeds that he could quote to the Lord... "How I thank Thee that I'm not like this publican or that ordinary men, how I pay my tithes and fast," and so forth. But Jesus was teaching them that all those things are all right, and they have their place, but then those things are not the real things. They're not the religious. They're religion, but they're not salvation. If we depend upon those things to merit for our salvation, we would go in by works and wouldn't need the Lord Jesus. But we have to solemnly depend upon Him, and I'm so glad. Then everyone can come. If religion only means to build a church for sacrifice and to be sincere, God would be unjust to condemn Cain, 'cause he done everything religious that Abel did. Everything that Abel did religious, Cain did the same. Both boys sincere, both boys made an altar; both boys made a sacrifice; both boys knelt down; both boys prayed; both boys worshipped.
So if worship, sincerely, belonging to church, and all those things are all God requires, then He would be unjust to condemn Cain, for Cain did the very same thing that Abel did. But all of it was works of his hand. And it's not by works; it's by the grace of God you are saved. Abel never worked; He just believed on Him that justifies the ungodly. And his sacrifice was received. ~~~ Blind Bartimaeus 57-0127E

Let's settle this just once. Let's go back to Ephesians the 1st chapter, the 5th chap--the 1st chapter of Ephesians, just a moment. I want to read here just a minute, so that you can really understand that it's not just what--something that I'm trying to tell you; it's something God's trying to tell you. See? Now, listen to this real close, 1st chapter of Ephesians.Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God,... (The same man that's wrote the Hebrew letter is writing this letter.)... to the saints... (This is not to the unbelievers, but to the saints, the sancti--sainted ones.)... which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:
Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ,
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places...
According as he... (Now, listen close now, the 4th verse.)... According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world... (Who is the "us" there? The Church.)... He chose us in him... (Christ)... before the foundation of the earth, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to His own good pleasure of his will,
Who did it? God did it. God knowed from the beginning who would be saved and who wouldn't be saved. Certainly, He was not willing for any to perish. But He didn't send Jesus here just to see if you'd--you'd act like, "Well, poor Jesus, I feel sorry for Him; maybe I'd better get saved and prove it." No, sir.God knowed in the beginning who would and who would not. So therefore, He knew that some would; so He sent Jesus to make a propitiation for those that He foreknew. For those who He foreknew, He has called; and those who He has called, He has justified; and those who He has justified, He hath (past tense) glorified. There you are.
So it's not you that keeps yourself; it's the grace of God that keeps you. You didn't save yourself, or nothing you've done to deserve being saved; it's God's grace that saved you. God's grace called you. God's foreknowledge knew you. He knew that you'd be in this church this night before the foundation of the world was ever laid. He's infinite. If He isn't, He isn't God. If He did know all things, He was God. If He didn't know all things, He wasn't God. If He's Almighty God, He can do all things; if He cannot do all things, He's not Almighty God. There you are.
So how can you say it's something you could do? It's nothing you can do. It's God's love and grace to you, that you're even here. Nothing you could do, God called you by His grace; you listened, heard, accepted."Well," you say, "Brother Branham, that makes it awful loose." Certainly, it does. You're free. "Well, that fellow can do anything he wants to." Absolutely. I always do what I want to do, but if you're a Christian, you don't want to do wrong. ~~~ Hebrews Chapter 7 part 1 57-0915E

So salvation isn't doing a lot of good works. Grace is what brings us to God. God saves us by grace. And no man never sought God at any time. The Bible says he didn't. You say, "Why, I sought God all night." No, you never. God sought you. Man's very nature in the garden of Eden proved it. Instead of Adam running up and down the garden saying, "O Father, where art thou," it was God hunting Adam saying, "Adam, where art thou?" See? We turn the picture around. Here, this will settle it for you if there's a question in your mind. Jesus said, "No man can come to Me, except My Father draws him first." That settles it if He said it. All right. We're not on that subject, we're just backgrounding a little. Get the fear away. Don't be scared that God's not going to answer prayer. God always answers prayer. The work's already finished. He's obligated; He must do it; He's got to do it to keep His Word. Notice. Now, it's a finished work. ~~~Hear ye Him 56-1215
I don't know how, I don't know why, I can not explain the love of God for my soul - My heart says Amen
Third Exodus Assembly Brothers
Who could explain when God told Elijah, "Go up there and set on the mount, and I'll feed you. I've ordained the--the crows to feed you"? How could a crow get a slice of bread and a pinch--a piece of fish baked, and bring it to a prophet? That's beyond anything I could explain. I don't think you can either, or nobody can. But He did it. That's all's was necessary. He did it, and that's the truth of it. How He did it, I don't know. It's none of my business. But He did it. How He made the earth, I don't know; but He did it. How He sent His Son, I don't know; but He did it. How He rose from the dead, I don't know; but He did it. How did He save me? I don't know; but He did it. That's right. How'd He save you? I can't tell you; but He did it. How did He heal me? I don't know; but He did it. Why did God let Abraham, that great man, say that Sarah wasn't his wife?
Now, if we notice in this, there's many things that happen sometime, and we wonder why they happen, and we question ourselves, and we question others. But finally after while, we find out that if we're Christians, it all works out just right.
And how... You've seen that; all Christians see that. We wonder why we did it. I wondered sometime, when I first read the Bible, "Why did God let Abraham, that great man, ever stand there and say that Sarah wasn't his wife?" And how that He let him stand there and lie about that, and the things that he did. And then how did He ever let Abraham leave the promised land where He told them not to leave? Any Jew that leaves the promised land is backslid because God gave that to them and promised them to stay there (See?), and they left it.
So he went down into Gerar. But if it hadn't have been for that... And then Abimelech, that king down there, in that Philistine country, fell in love with Sarah and was going to marry her, and was a good man, a righteous man. And after he had probably... (This sounds ridiculous but to make it so real to you). After he'd had his evening bath, and put on his pajamas, and said his prayers, and went to bed, the Lord appeared to him and said, "You're just as good as a dead man," and the man had done nothing. (See?) He was absolutely deceived by both Abraham and Sarah. That's right. He said, "You've got another man's wife (See?), and I--I won't hear your prayer, no matter how much you pray. You're as good as dead. But that man is My prophet." See?
See, it's hard to understand that (See?), but if it wasn't that, we wouldn't know what grace was. Why did he go and marry Hagar after having a lovely wife like Sarah? And he didn't want to do it (See?), but Sarah told him, and then the Lord told him, "You listen to what Sarah told you." Why? There had to be an Ishmael that the bondswoman and her child would not be heir with the free woman and her child. See what I mean? All these things are types.
Why did that prophet have to marry a prostitute and have--with these children--have two children by her? That was a sign. Why did one lay on his right side for three hundred and forty days and then lay so many days on the other side like that? It was a sign. One stripped his clothes and walked before the--Israel. And I... All those things, it was types and shadows. See? And we have to have those things to fill in. And many times things happen to us that we wonder why it is. It's God foreshowing us something..........
